Elden Ring Update 1.04 April 19 Patch Notes

Elden Ring has received a second important update with patches for 1.04 being released by the developer From Software this morning 19th April. The update follows a very brief interruptions to the game, and is now available for all platforms. The latest 1.04 upgrade for Elden Ring includes an almost overwhelming amount of balance adjustments in the game. Numerous weapons, spells and skills are being adjusted together with a myriad of bugs that will make the game more enjoyable. Balance adjustments mostly concern the cost of stamina or FP of attacks, as well as casting speeds and recovery times for spells.

  • The camera now has an option to turn off the camera’s auto-rotation feature ON/OFF

Changes in balance

  • Increased Colossal Weapons attack speed and reduced speed of recovery. Jump attack is not included
  • The damage of two hands is increased of Colossal Swords/Colossal Weapons. Jump attack is not included.
  • Improved blockrate for physical damage and increased guard for those who play the Colossal Sword, Colossal Weapons, Great Sword, Great Hammer Great Axe Great Spear and Halberd weapons classes.
  • It has increased the impact caused by Grafted Blade Greatsword
  • The damage was increased to Devourer’s Scepter
  • Reduced the scale of the status effect’s build-up from spells and incantations like Albinauric Staff as well as Dragon Communion Seal
  • Reduced the effectiveness of the Greatshield Talisman on weapons with high block rate.

  • Rock Blaster – Reduced recovery time. It allows the casting caster to resist attacks from enemies while casting.
  • Thops’s Barrier: Increased area of effect and slightly extend the duration of effect.
  • The Rennala’s Full Moon – Increased cast speed and reduced time to recover.
  • “Ranni’s” Dark Moon – Increased cast speed and reduced time to recover.
  • Carian Greatsword. Increased casting speed even at lower dexterity.
  • Magma Shot Cost of FP reduced and increased speed of casting.
  • Roiling Magma – Increased casting speed and reduced time until the magma explodes.
  • Gelmir’s Fury Gelmir’s Fury Slightly reduced the random nature that the missile’s arc, and increased the damage dealt to that lava pool. The hitbox was increased.

  • Scouring Black Flame – Decreased FP cost and time to recover. Increased attack range and the area of influence.
  • Black Flame Ritual – Reduced cost of FP as well as increased damage.
